Happy and the Moonshine's repertoire is an eclectic mix of music from the past nine decades! Vocalist Dave DeAngelis can melt your heart with jazzy renditions of Gershwin classics, or stop you in your tracks with powerful contemporary pop/rock hits--and everything in between. Michael Chicoria is a extravagant improv pianist, who seamlessly blends multiple genres--including: jazz/blues, latin, classical, and rock and roll. These two young men have been honing their craft since an early age, and bring over 50 years of experience to the stage combined. Their selections range from Broadway to Bob Dylan, Justin Timberlake to Jimi Hendrix. This duo is as comfortable playing a dinner lounge as they are at a rock concert or a late night bar setting. Happy and the Moonshine is the perfect addition to your entertainment lineup.
Mike and Dave have known each other for about 20 years, and have been performing all of their lives. However they only started playing TOGETHER in August of 2011. Being so practiced and skilled with their respective instruments, they were able to mesh instantly in a way that was incredible--and fast! Since then they have been able to establish a large repertoire of music that grows each and every week. Up until March 2012 they were known as "The Mike and Dave Show," but they soon changed their name to "Happy and the Moonshine." Watching Mike and Dave perform is truly a show, hearing the vast array of genres they offer, often accompanied by stage lights, etc. Mike and Dave are having an amazing time playing together, and we hope you can join us for a show real soon.
